Char Dham: The Sacred Pilgrimage of Spiritual Enlightenment
The Char Dham is a revered pilgrimage circuit in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand, comprising four sacred shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Known as the “Chota Char Dham” to distinguish it from the larger Char Dham circuit (Puri, Rameshwaram, Dwarka, and Badrinath), this journey is a spiritual quest undertaken by thousands of devotees every year.
Each shrine represents a unique facet of Hindu spirituality, and completing the Char Dham Yatra is believed to cleanse one of sins and ensure salvation.
